Taste: My Life Through Food
He might have missed out on the coveted title of worlds sexist bald man' this year, but we doubt Stanley Tucci is crying into his gnocchi.
Having already earnt a name for himself as a world renowned and award winning actor (starting in films such as the hunger games, the devil wears Prada and of course, the Muppets most wanted), Stanley has also been sharing his love of food with us for a little while now, through The Tucci Cookbook and The Tucci Table, as well as his cooking videos on social media more recently. Now in this new book, he takes us beyond the recipes and into the stories behind them. Taste is filled with Stanley's wry humour and presents a reflection on the intersection of food and life. It is filled with anecdotes about growing up in an Italian American family in New York, falling in love over dinner, and the joy of creating conversation-starting meals with his wife for their children. He also talks about how he prepared for and filming the foodie films Big Night and Julie & Julia, bringing us on a gastronomic journey through five-star meals and burnt dishes, good and bad.
This beautifully bound book is a treat to read - You really can never have too much Tucci.
