Food for Free
A pocket sized guide to what you can forage in the countryside. There are over 100 edible plants listed, fully illustrated and described, along with recipes you can try and short histories of how they've been used throughout the ages.
The book also contains practical advice on how to pick each plant as well as information on countryside laws and regulations on picking wild plants. It's the ideal book to accompany you on a ramble through the countryside, that may even result in a feast. Originally published in 1972, it has never been out of print since but this miniature version has been completely updated.
