Orchards of Ireland Napkins: Green/Grey
What is it?
A set of four cotton napkins made by Duinn Designs inspired by the Orchards of Ireland. There are approximately 260 orchards on the the island of Ireland that are commercially trading. Historical records date apple growing as early as the 12th century in Co. Armagh. In the late 19th century the Bramley Seedling was introduced. It was discovered by accident in England in 1876 and soon won the acclaim as the best culinary apple, remaining so to this day. Armagh, Tyrone, Dublin, Tipperary, Meath, Waterford and Kilkenny are the main counties for apple production. Trees are in full bloom in July and the best time to go picking is mid- September. There is also a matching table runner available.
Duinn Design take inspiration from Irish heritage sites, local folklore, myths and legends to create unique contemporary designs in striking patterns that tell the story of Irish heritage with a modern twist. View our full collection of Dúinn products here.
