Pigín of Howth
What is it about?
Pigín of Howth is the first set of stories from Kathleen Watkins. Yes, that Kathleen Watkins. At the age of 82, Kathleen has become an author, bringing to life the stories she made up for her young grandchildren when they had run out of reading material. And so, a pig was born. A pig called Pigín.
Pigín lives in Howth, a beautiful seaside town on Dublin Bay, and he is a very popular pig about town. He is friendly, curious, impeccably dressed and has the nicest manners a pig could possibly have. Join Pigín and his friends Sammy Seal, Sally Seagull, the Badger of Ballsbridge and the Howth Castle fairies, as they go on their many adventures.
The book contains 3 Pigín stories and is illustrated by Margaret Anne Suggs.
