Sauerkraut is seriously underrated. It's zingy and fresh, with a lovely crunch and sourness. And it's even better when it's homemade. The RotPot Sauerkraut kit is easy to use, and all you need to add is your choice of cabbage. The process takes 6 to 8 weeks, depending on your preferences. And when you're finished, you can rinse out the equipment and start again from scratch with a different vegetable.
Rot Pot is a fantastic innovation by Dutch fermentation expert Sanne Zwart. It's a complete DIY kit, including the fermentation pot, seal, recipe and spice mix. All you need to provide is the fruit or vegetables (or scraps if you're particularly thrifty!) Rot Pot provides a simple and fun way to produce delicious cultured foods and drinks.
