We have had a bit of interest in these 3D microscopes recently so I thought I’d talk through just how great they are. These are whopper kits, they come with everything your mini scientists will need to get started - glass ocular lenses (x5 and x10), stereo eyepiece, an led light, tweezers, Petri dish, sample containers, pipette, dissecting needle, a 28 page booklet with 14 experiments to get them started, and of course the microscope itself. The microscope is a great size, big enough to feel like you can do really substantial experiments on it, small enough to fit neatly on the desktop. The 3D effect makes even the tiniest details come alive, bringing out the wonder in each and every tiny detail. These are reliable, sturdy machines, built to last. It is a great way to get little humans 8 plus to get exploring the world around them.

I have been a huge fan of this baby friendly jewellery range for quite a while now, so I was delighted that we decided to stock some of @kodes_accessories show stopping jewellery designs here at Designist. . For those of us with toddlers it can often feel like returning to normal jewellery wearing will never happen. Silicone, chewable jewellery is a great way to be able to begin wearing jewellery again. As it is food grade and completely free from nasties it is safe for baby to chew on (under supervision of course), and the snap clasps mean they won’t hurt mammy if little hands pull on them a little too hard. . But what I really love about this collection is that they have been designed first and foremost as jewellery. The shapes are considered and the combination of colours look great on most outfits. For those of you who are regular in the shop you will most likely have seen me wearing my Kodes necklace. It gets compliments every time I wear it and people can’t believe it is designed for babies to chew on. They are easy to wear and look great with or without a baby hanging off them. We have also some stunning hooped earrings designed to compliment your necklace, if you are one who loves to have the full set. . #siliconejewellery #chewablejewellery #kodesjewellery #baby #babyfriendly #babyfriendlyjewellery #lookinggreat #remarkablegifts #foundatdesignist #buyirishjewellery 4d kodes_accessories's profile picture kodes_accessories OMG they look amazing on your display 😍 thanks for including my products in your shop! I hope all mums and non mums will enjoy them and I hope to visit one day, can't wait to start travelling again, I've never been do Dublin and I'd love to come to the shop and meet you

BACK IN STOCK! Everyone’s favourite the ingenious bottle light, is back in stock. This LED light sits on top of pretty much any bottle. They have a hidden usb charger under their cork top, so you never have to worry about replacing batteries. This means they are perfect for lighting up difficult corners, garden tables, inside or out- it’s up to you!

Toys, toys, toys. I love toy shopping. I am sure that 90% of what I buy are toys I would have wanted as a kid, but sure, that’s half the fun of it, isn’t it?! I recently got some of these super board games for the nieces and nephews, made from eco friendly cardboard and designed and made in Spain, they are also really entertaining and a laugh to play. The mini Eco bud dolls by Rubens Barn are definitely dolls I would have loved when a kid. Perfect for babies and toddlers because of their lovely little size, soft bodies and beautiful details, they are made from organic cotton, recycled polyester stuffing and plant a tree for each doll sold. Oh and these insect kaleidoscopes are fun and great stocking fillers. And if you are not able to get into town easy, we are online as always. Deliveries are being processed each day and posted out 6 days a week. Because sometimes even Santa needs a helping hand.

Well now, look at those windows! Full of goodies, for you to ogle at. We have had a nice flow of customers this morning, and there is a buzzy vibe in town. We are open until 5.30pm today, if you are planning on popping by. If you would rather not risk any queues you can always order online for collection. We usually will have your order all ready to collect within the hour - happy days.

Well, it seems everyone was busy yesterday, making the most of the nice weather and lack of any announcements stopping them from getting out and about. We were very glad that even as it was busy, all you lovely folk stayed socially distant and considerate of others. It made for a lovely atmosphere all day. Books were flying out the door yesterday. Here is a little selection of some of your favourites at the moment. We are open today between 12.30-5pm as normal, and anything you order online today will be posted off tomorrow. If you are not one for queues or hanging around town, then you can order online for collection with our click and collect service. Sorted! .
