    Microgreens Self-Cultivation Kit

    €25.00
We all know we should try to eat more greens, and this is a really easy way to do it. You can grow your very own microgreens with this handy kit that includes purple basil, watercress, sunflowers, peas, radish, and beetroot at home. While you'll probably have had microgreens as a colourful garnish in fancy restaurants, they don't just make your dishes look pretty, because you harvest them in their early growth, they have a high nutritional value and a more intense flavour. The kit contains 6 packets of seeds, 3 growing trays, 3 substrate tablets, a spray bottle, and a botanical guide. Basically, everything you need to get growing. Pop the substrate in the tray and cover with water to let it hydrate, crumble it to make soil, and spread with seed and press them down gently. Cover for a couple of days and keep in a warm place, away from direct sunlight. Once the plants start to sprout, you can uncover them and give them a bit of light, a windowsill is perfect, and water them regularly. Once they reach 5-6 cm (usually about a week), they are ready to harvest and eat. A great gift for any foodie, home veggie grower, or indoor plant lover - they are even great for kids learning about growing and sustainability. How does it come? In a box with everything you need to grow 6 types of microgreens and full instructions.

    Bird Silo - Terracotta

    €65.00
Invite our feathery friends to the garden with this multi layer bird silo. Made from 100% recycled plastic, this bird feeder is beautifully practical. Designed to function like a grain silo, you lift the top cone to pour in bird seeds / nuts (they love sunflower seeds and peanuts). The feeder fills up from the bottom - giving the visiting birds plenty of space to feed (The designers suggest avoiding store bought bird food mixes as lots of the song birds that would use the silo feeder don't eat this and it can end up building up and collecting moisture). The terracotta colour, with speckled accents shows off the contemporary shape making it an attractive addition to any garden. Want to create the perfect habitat? Why not plant food rich plants, like Rowan trees, Holly, hawthorn and crab apple trees? Pidat is a new Finnish brand of everyday objects. The word pidät has three meanings in Finnish - “You hold. You like. & You keep.” Bird enthusiasts Mika & Julie Tolvanen designed Bird Silo by studying the eating habits of birds for several years, feeding them from a series of prototypes until they found the perfect mix of practicality and beauty. This is a beautiful gift for the garden enthusiasts, bird spotters and design lovers in your life. Looking for gifts for the garden ? We have lots here at designist! What is it made from? 100% recycled plastic and stainless steel How does it come? Boxed 20cm x 19cm x 10cm . Silo measures 24cm x 18cm approx.
