Designer Profile: Jen Taylor
Jen Taylor is the founder of designer brand Hokolo, who's homewares have gained international popularity as witty, high-end products with a mid-century twist.
Jen used to be an architect and in 2012 she decided she wanted to do something different to allow her spend more time with her son, have more control in her work and see more immediate results from her designs. And we love what she's done by creating a brand that reflects her own background and personality, as Hokolo is a mixture of Hong Kong where Jen grew up, and London, where she moved to study when she was 15.
Jen's designs take great inspiration from her day to day life such as with the Hokolo English Breakfast collection that features the striking shapes and graphic elements of breakfast foods like eggs, tomatoes, blueberries and oranges.
Each of the sets is stackable for easy serving and storage, and they're made from the finest bone china making them a pleasure to drink from. The Tea Set consists of two cups, a milk jug and a sugar bowl and comes in blueberry, egg-yellow, tomato, and orange. The espresso set consists of four espresso cups featuring each of the four different patterns.
The espresso and tea sets all come in gorgeous vibrant gift boxes, making them very giftable as a house warming present or just to anyone who is into tea or coffee!
We're thrilled to be stocking some of Jen's products in our shop (they really brighten up the shelves) and we're looking forward to seeing more from her in the future.
