october bank holiday

Our window has had a Halloween makeover. Come and have a look if you’re around town. We love a stroll in the windy autumn weather 🍁🍂🎃

PLASTIC – CAN’T LIVE WITH IT, CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT IT is a new exhibition which launched in the Science Gallery on Thursday October 24th. At the launch, we tried PLASTIC treats in the Science Gallery Café (??!!) and learned how to make sustainable packaging in the Studios. There was even be a live DJ set by Bubblegum in the Accenture Gallery for anyone up for hitting the dancefloor. Well, Thursday evening does practically qualify as the weekend right?

Little and big! We have options for everyone. Pictured here are the Thermo Pot, the Zipper Pencil Case in Tangerine and the Wooden Submarine

Nobody likes throwing away food and sometimes cling film seems the handiest way to wrap up our leftovers. This is a fantastic and completely sustainable alternative. Millbee Beeswax Food Wraps are made from all-natural ingredients (beeswax, organic cotton, tree resin, and jojoba oil). The beeswax and jojoba oil have antibacterial qualities which help to keep your food fresh and allow you to use your Beeswax Food Wrap over and over. When used with care (wash in cold water only) you can get up to a year's use from your wraps and make an important step closer to zero waste. And it's not just for leftovers - we use it for lunches, snacks and keeping bread fresh.

We've got lots of deadly new stuff in-store including a range of snazzy new Engel backpacks in really fab colours made from recycled bottles. We think you are going to love them as much as we do! Our newest recruit Susan is wearing the striped one but there's a blue, tangerine and yellow option as well. Have a coffee, get ready to hit the streets, then pop in and have a look.

We were closed for a little break over the Bank Holiday. Everything is always available online and we had 10% off everything until midnight on Monday night. 💥 We hope you all had a great weekend!

“It is not enough that we build products that function, that are understandable and usable, we also need to build products that bring joy and excitement, pleasure and fun, and, yes, beauty to people’s lives.”
