Consisting of two colours; a lush deep black and a rich, sparkly gold, this large, abstract, limited run screen print is designed by Alice Fitzgerald, a Dublin-based visual artist and designer and printed by Damn Fine Print. With the clever addition of a test tube in the top they are suitable for cut flowers and look magnificent with just one or two blooms or some greenery to offset the sculptural form. The printing process uses a ribbed pattern to give the vase extra strength, while remaining incredibly light. What's it made of? A lovely cotton tea towel featuring the National Botanic Gardens in Glasnevin by Clover Rua The Palm House featured on the tea towel was built in 1862, but the Botanic Gardens in Glasnevin is much older than that. A view of Croke Park, the home of the GAA. There has been a stadium on this site since 1891 but this view is of the redeveloped stadium completed in 2005. The redevelopment was done 4 in stages starting in 1991 so the stadium was never completely closed during the redevelopment, and the All Irelands were still played here every year.
