What's the Craic?
What's the Craic is a very Irish opener. Used in place of have you any news / how are you doing, it's an invitation to start a story, Craic, is and Irish language word that is roughly translated as fun, enjoyment, or sociability but is kind of untranslatable - although you'll know it when you see it. One of the worst insults anyone could throw at you is that you are no craic.
