Eclectic Avenue is a range of high quality, beautifully thought out tableware created by Hannah Dipper and Robin Farquhar of  People Will Always Need Plates. A response to the current proliferation of cheap and throwaway design, their work is functional, beautiful and considered.

Imagine a street that encapsulates all the best bits from the last 150 years of architecture and transport and you will find yourself slap bang in the middle of Eclectic Avenue, where a modern electric car sits in harmony with a horse and carriage and modernist homes lie at ease between Victorian townhouses. The architectural illustrations are suitably detailed and are brought to life by punchy solid colours, which give a more playful tone to the range and make them a cheerful addition to any table. All the pieces are made of fine bone china and are dishwasher and microwave safe.

In the range we have: mugs that are lovely to hold and even nicer to drink from; the sweetest little egg cups (which can also moonlight as espresso or sake cups); plates, which are stylish enough to hang on your wall and delightful to stick a sambo on, and other bits and pieces that would make a great gift, or just a nice wee treat for yourself. You deserve it, y'know?
