Waterford Whispers News 2025
2025: the year Ireland bid farewell to Michael D. Higgins, our pint-sized philosopher-king, as the nation collectively wept into their overpriced oat flat whites. Meanwhile, the National Children’s Hospital hit the €3 billion mark, now rumoured to feature a sauna, cinema, and possibly a launchpad to Mars.
Elsewhere, a Mayo man was jailed for fixing a pothole without permission, international diplomacy collapsed over an undelivered cup of tea, and a Dublin landlord briefly considered installing a smoke alarm.
From weather warnings for heavy notions to government advice to just stop being poor the Waterford Whispers News 2025 Annual is back with its trademark blend of wit, satire and Irish absurdity. The year’s headlines, more believable than ever, but somehow still less mad than real life.
