Topographia Hibernica
There are few writers like Blindboy, and this book is one that is hard to describe. Absorbing and hard to put down, it is packed full of stories and vignettes about the strange unsettlings in the souls of men caught in between the past and the possible. Taking its title from a twelfth-century English manuscript of the same name, Topographia Hibernica saw the dehumanised the people and culture of Ireland, Blindboy's Topographia Hibernica looks to unravel the knotted threads of humanity, nature and colonisation from a contemporary Irish perspective, and through his own twisted and frank lens.
