A brilliant bedside companion the Lumos is an alarm clock and adjustable light. Made from sustainably sourced walnut, it's soft light and pleasing shape look elegant in any interior. It also has loads of clever features making the function just as nice as the form.

You can set the clock to have a permanemt clock display or to be sound activated - great if you're sensitive to light or inclined to lie awake looking at the minutes ticking by. The alarm is easy to set. To pop it on snooze you tap the top to pause the alarm for 5 minutes, which you can do five times. To turn the alarm off completely you long touch the top until you hear a beep. The integrated light has 3 levels, which get progressively brighter the more times you tap the light, to wake you up in a gentle fashion.

You can leave the lumos plugged in and charging with the USB cable include, or go cable free. On a full charge with the permanent clock display the battery should last around two weeks, but once the battery starts to run down the light will stop working to let you know you it needs to be charged. The clock will continue to run for another 2 days to make sure you don't miss your alarm.

With all these clever features, the lumos makes a lovely gift as it is bith a pleasure to behold and to use.
