A Day Off School

Herbie has the sniffles so he stays home from school. For the first few hours, it's exciting to have time to build a fort, watch cartoons, paint dinosaurs, and play Space Blasters. But soon he begins to wonder... what if he's missing some fun at school? What if there's an extra playtime, a dog on the loose, or even... a pirate invasion?

This is an action-packed and hilarious story with charming water colour illustrations that perfectly captures the excitement and endless possibilities of a day off from school. There are scarce few storytellers around that can produce a tale as fun, satisfying, and visually interesting as Oliver Jeffers can.
