(ANOTHER restock & new product!) . We have been really busy in the shop restocking and expanding our ranges. . We got these bubble buddies in for the first time this spring and you folk have lapped them up, so much so we decided to add another colour to the range - welcome mellow yellow! . Bubble buddies are the sort of really clever design we love to stock at Designist. . They are soap dishes look great while doubling up as plastic reducing, everyday cleaning devices. They allow you to turn your solid soap and detergent bars into flakes, ready to soak and turn to a bubbly liquid perfect for all manner of personal and daily household cleaning. Made from recycled plastic bottles this eco friendly dish will set you well on the way to reducing your plastic consumption while looking damn good at the same time.

Comfy, colourful and laugh out loud. These socks by the brilliant @irishsocksciety are the bee’s knees (bee’s feet?). . Made with 80% cotton, they are thick, long lasting and lovely to wear. Plus they come in two different sizes to suit every foot, big or small. . Personally my Feck it socks are a solid part of my Monday uniform. . We are now open Tuesday to Saturday until 5pm. You can order online for click & collect or if you would rather, you can order anything to be gift wrapped for free and sent directly to your loved ones.

Open ended toys and games are always a win here at Designist. We love things that can be reinterpreted over and over, stretching creativity and imagination. . In our house, it took us a little time to work out just how to play with these story cubes and realise their full genius. To begin we used them to tell bedtime stories, but as the little ones grew, how the cubes were used changed. Soon child #1 was developing his own stories with them and during lockdown they were fantastic teaching aids to help with creative writing. We found these fantastic images online on how others used their cubes to create storyboards and retell stories which we love. Okay, ours don’t look quite so nice, but they sure keep the kids busy developing their own stories! . We have a huge range of cubes in stock, why not mix and match themes to really push that story telling?

With so many of us turning to growing things, this spring and summer, gardens and window sills have never looked so good. I don’t know about you, but it has given me a new found confidence in keeping green things alive. . These germination plates have been so popular in the shop and we are nearly out, so if you want to turn your hand to germinating your own acorn, avocado stone, bean or anything else, pop over to the website for your own plate before they run out. We also have seed mixes and plant food to help give you a good start. 🌿🌱💦

Yeahy it’s July, we aren’t allowed to travel off to our summer holidays, so of course the weather is all cold and rainy outside 🤣😂🤣 . We are here, all very happy to be inside! Pop by and say hi, we are open until 5.30pm. . Or if you couldn’t be arsed going out in the rain sure you can always order online ☔️☔️☔️
