A lovely cotton teatowel featuring Liberty Hall.

Completed in 1965, Liberty Hall was the tallest building in Ireland at the time, it was the headquarters of SIPTU. The site, where the original Liberty Hall stood was used as a munitions factory for the Easter Rising in 1916, and a soup kitchen during the Dublin Lock Out in 1913. The current building was damaged in the 1972 Dublin Bombing by the UV, and was almost torn down in 2012 but was saved by An Bord Pleanála, overturning the planning permisson that had already been granted for the new building.
