Dublin, Written in Our Hearts

Specially commissioned for this year's One Dublin One book - Dublin Written in Our Hearts is an Anthology of fiction, non-fiction, and poetry about Dublin. It celebrates the 20th year of the project, which encourages all Dubliners to read a chosen book every April.

Edited by Declan Meade, co-founder of the Stinging Fly, it features the work of 22 writers all writing about Dublin in the last 25 years, including the likes of Kevin Barry, Roddy Doyle,  and Anne Enright. Dublin is a thread on which this series of different stories and vignettes hangs, creating a complex, nuanced literary picture of the city. It is named for Joyce's famous quote - When I die, Dublin will be written in my Heart.
