coffee, cotton bags and local ice creams you need to try

During lockdown we gift wrapped a LOT of presents for people. And wrote so.many.cards. Thank you cards, happy birthday cards, sorry I can’t be with you in person cards. Basically, anything and everything
.
It was so very touching to be able to help get these thoughtful little tokens out to folk
.
If you are stuck away from the people you love or if you want to show you are thinking about someone but can’t get into town in the same way as before, then let us get the gift all ready for you
.
If you are stuck for ideas and would like some inspiration we have put together lots of different gift ideas on our website. We are also love to chat to you by email or on the phone to recommend, advise and inspire the perfect gift
.
We can wrap, we can prepare little gift boxes of goodies, and help you put the most perfect collection of treats together. We can handwrite cards with any message and then post everything off to your loved ones.

There is no extra charge for these services, it is all just part of the package of supporting your lovely local Irish Indy business Designist.

🖐🖐🖐hands up who needs a coffee?!🖐🖐🖐 It is Friday, soooo nearly the weekend. Well done for making it this far. By this stage of the week I need a super strong espresso to wake me up and keep me going. And it is just not the same trying to drink them from a standard tea mug. You want to savour it, enjoy it, and feel like you deserve it. The right cup is a must.

I love a diary, but have always been hopeless at keeping it up. I am sure the main reason for this has been the big, dauntingly blank pages staring back at me. This ‘some lines a day’ diary deals with this issue bang on. It does not expect you to write long essays about breakfast last Tuesday morning, but rather it is based on the principle of a few short lines a day. Simple, fast, as relaxed as you want it to be. All you need is a few minutes a day to write down that sentence or few words that sum up the feel of the day. Spread over 5 years, this diary is highly achievable and has the makings of a fascinating archival object for you to look back on in years to come. And sure, as it is Leuchtturm1917 it's made with the usual high quality you’d expect. It is a5 and threadsewn, which makes it super-durable and also means it opens out flat, making it much easier get the most out of each spread. The expandable back pocket is perfect for all those receipts, tickets, business cards etc that you've collected over the years.

Happy Sunday! Wow, what a lovely sunny morning :) looks like summer hasn’t just left us eh?! Perfect day for a nice stroll and the last ice cream of the year. If you are strolling towards town you’d not go too wrong by trying out @murphysicecream Irish brown bread ice cream, a top fav here at Designist. Or why not pop over to the @threetwentyicecreamlab to try out their amazing sounding (and looking) ice cream sandwich collaboration with @therollingdonut_ . We are open today between 12.30-5pm you order everything for click & collect online, or we are always happy to post things straight out to you if can’t get into town

I found myself using so.much.more plastic bags that usual these last month or two or four. Where previously I would have my trusty cotton bag tucked in a pocket or handbag, recently it had migrated to a random drawer in the house. With reduced trips to the shops and supermarket it made little sense having it on me every time. But with work back to normal and the kids back in school it has been all change again. I defiantly don’t want to be purchasing unnecessary plastic, so my cotton market bag is firmly back in the handbag and I am getting back into some good habits again

You gotta love a good stack. And nothing makes a better one these these Leuchtturm1917 notebooks, journals, sketchbooks and diaries. Sure, ‘it’s the season to be organising ourselves and getting ready for the autumn, and what better way to do it than with one of these exceedingly high quality, scrum my coloured, gorgeous to use notebooks? All Leuchtturm notebooks are thread-bound, making them super-durable and also meanng they open out flat. The expandable back pocket will house all those receipts, tickets, business cards etc that otherwise you would lose. The paper is both ink-proof (so no show-through or blotching) and acid-free (so no discoloration over time). This, combined with its sturdiness, is what makes it a top choice for stationary enthusiasts and bullet journal fans all over the globe.
